COLORING WITH FABRIC IN CREATIVE PATCHWORK
Full Day Workshop

Student's Supply List:  Notepad and pen, scissors and/or rotary cutter and mat, portable sewing machine or basic sewing kit, and extension cord.  Instructor will provide colored pencils, worksheets and design grids.

Fabric:  Bring fat quarters or 1/2-yard lengths of 15 to 20 fabrics you like from three or four color families.  Select prints for their personality, visual texture or their subtle patterns.  All fabrics do not have to coordinate.  Have some light, medium, & dark fabrics in each color family (only a few lights).  Rich prints of all sorts will combine well, such as stripes, paisleys, tone-on-tone florals and geometrics.  Vary tones and shades within the solids or hand-dyed fabrics, if used.

Optional:  One yard flannel for design board.

For the workshop I will need:  White/dry erase board or chalk board with eraser, eraser, display table, two irons and ironing boards.
